Kitimat Museum & Archives

Explore town history, multiculturalism, turn-of-the-century settlement, the 1950′s Alcan Project aluminum smelter, and Haisla arts and technology. Additional displays feature the geology, flora & fauna of the Kitimat Valley and the sea life of Douglas Channel. The temporary gallery offers changing exhibitions of arts, culture and history. We also offer summer programs for children. Visit the Museum gift shop for aluminum giftware, original Haisla carvings, jewelry, books and clothing.
