BC’s favourite whitewater rafting house Kumsheen Rafting Resort is bringing Canada’s top professional photographers, Don MacGregor and Mike Woodworth, for fun and informative photo trip in Lytton, BC. This intensive and hands-on three-day Outdoor Photography Workshop is set to run from August 19 to 22, 2012, from Ashcroft to Lytton, BC.
As the raft leaves shore, the group will zoom in on some of BC’s spectacular history from the best viewing spots, discovering incredible sights through their lenses. Two of the three days are devoted to floating the legendary Thompson River.
“Just travelling down this river is going to be incredible,” said Woodworth, internationally acclaimed photographer and one of Kumsheen’s raft guides, who have been involved in photography for 20 years. “I just love rafting rivers. It’s just a magical thing for me.”
Stopping places during the breathtaking river ride are predetermined. “There’s an old church, a wooden church. It’s now in very much disrepair, which gives it character, and all around it is junk that has been left there, like old sleighs, cars, log cabins,” said Woodworth, “There are a million things to photograph there alone.”
During the river escape, the team will, among other things, experience fifty sets of the river’s famous whitewater rapids, catch sight of the stunning desert-like badlands and relax in the 150- million-year-old Black Canyon.
