Discover the Historical Connection Between Land, Sea & Human Experience. The Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives presents the history of the Sunshine Coast and its inhabitants. We have two floors of exhibits to explore as well as a resource room, reference library, and extensive archives with over 9,000 photographs & documents. The Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives collection includes items of significance to the history of the Sunshine Coast and its people. The Museum’s collections cover many wide-ranging topics. The main floor features exhibits regarding the area’s maritime history, and includes the Farrell Story, the Hubert Evans Handliner, Union Steamships, Captain Vancouver, and the Don Hauka submersible. The upper floor exhibits include artifacts from early Sechelt and Squamish settlements, materials from early Pioneering families, as well as specimens of the area’s Natural History. The Museum is situated in the heart of Gibsons Landing, 10 minutes from the BC Ferries terminal in Langdale.
